Personal Development Course

 

This course which is designed to train candidates to the highest standards. This enables candidates to insure themselves to work in the personal development industry. All course materials will be emailed for you to personalise for your own use. You will also receive a professional training manual to help guide you through

the course you have learned to give you the complete confidence needed to provide these treatments within the industry.

 

This course is designed to raise awareness and understanding of our own personal development needs and growth, to gain knowledge and Improve Self-management skills for health and wellbeing.  Learn techniques to manage & achieve goals in areas including Identity, raising self-esteem, anxiety management and confidence building. as well as improving our own development in both personal &  business areas. 

 

This course will allow you to decide if a career or business as a trainer or life coach in this area is for you and give you the tools and techniques to help others. Or simply wanting to learn these skills to add this element to your already established career or business.

 

Day 1 - Positive self-esteem       

Day 2 - Anxiety management    

Day 3 - Confidence building

 

DAY 1 – Positive Self-Esteem

Aim - Students have raised self-awareness, have understanding of elements of identity.

Have explored what is self-esteem and ideas and techniques to implement positivity and raise self-esteem. Explore what is self-esteem and how it impacts on our lives. Rate our own

self-esteem and identify what lowers and raises self-esteem.

 

Learn Maslow’s Hierarchy of needs in relation to personal development and the importance of

diet and sleep. Understand elements of identity. “Who am I?” Where do I want to be?” in relation to

self-esteem, assertiveness, confidence and positive relationships. Explore patterns of where we are

now and where we want to be. Consider our skills, likes and dislikes, characteristics, people and resources

in our lives.

 

Use the wellness wheel and consider ways of having a more balanced life.

Take action towards implementing ideas. Understand the importance of self-care.

Explore ways and techniques to improve wellbeing and raise self-esteem. 

Have and build on a toolkit of ideas and techniques to continue to use learning from course and implement in daily life. Also consider progression opportunities to coach or teach to others.

 

DAY 2 – Anxiety Management

Aim to understand what anxiety is and how it impacts. Explore causes & control methods. Understand anxiety cycle.

Learn coping and management strategies. Use key learning, progression and personal development and opportunities and apply knowledge of self-management techniques.

 

What is Anxiety? Quick control methods. Triggers and situations. Understand the anxiety cycle, explore thoughts, feelings, emotions, behaviours and physical effects.

 

Understand how breathing can affect feelings. Learn practical breathing, grounding, mindfulness visualisation and self-compassion exercises. Identify unhelpful thinking patterns and examples of negative thoughts. Practise challenging negative/unhelpful thoughts and re-frame to positive.

Explore situational exposure as a self-management tool. Learn holding on and letting go exercises such

as “the worry tree”. Build a toolkit to continue learning and implement into daily life. Progression opportunities to coach and teach others.

 

DAY 3 – Confidence building

Aim - Understand what confidence is, explore what impacts, raises & lowers confidence. Understand the building blocks of confidence, learn techniques & develop strategies to develop confidence & motivation.

Use key learning, progression and personal development opportunities and apply knowledge of

self-management techniques.

What is confidence? What impacts, lowers and raises confidence?

The building blocks of confidence knowing/self-awareness, doing/self-reliance, believing/self-belief.

 

Explore strategies to build areas in each box. 

Explore barriers, self-limiting values beliefs & negative versus positive mindset.

Explore ‘comfort zone’ action & motivation, body language, act as if.

 

Confidence exercise, manage state-be prepared-speak with passion.

 

Visualisation exercise Re-visit & reflect on key learning. Have toolkit of ideas & techniques to continue

to use learning from course & implement in daily life. 

 

Progression choice - Advice and opportunities to coach and teach others.
